5 star statistics from the bottom bathroom drawer

I am pretty confident that once I press upload I will be desperately calling the help desk, begging them to weave their magic and delete my first communication to the blog-o-sphere.

 You only live once. So I have thrown caution, literally into the eye of the tornado.

 Each Saturday I religiously read Good Weekend’s Number Crunch column by Professor John Croucher.

 I am in constant awe of what people say, don’t say or stupidly share with researchers.

 I then came across another source to feed my stat addiction and somewhere I never thought.

 Having recently had a baby my sister needed a little extra absorbency. I was completely what the? Libra manufactures their packaging with stats. I mean everything you should know and the bits you do not really need to know but make your life fuller. It was an instant fix for my stat addiction.

 I wanted more and to my delight the bottom drawer came up with the goods.

 Now I think it would be cruel to get you this far and not share my fem care stats, here are 5 of the best:

    I know what you mean about stats and useless random facts.

    It’s weird but I find myself buying the New Scientist whenever I am on a plane or facing a long journey to absorb as much as I can.

    I figure the desire for it is like “brain candy” almost. However, I firmly believe that 83% of all stats are made up (hehe)

    The weirdest place I’ve seen stats was stats for breastfeeding written on a whiteboard up against the window of a an Ante-natal Unit in a Hospital.
    (I used to work in Medical IT for 10yrs).

    Bizarre, and I found that it only accounted for 2.61% of Ante-Natal Units in Scotland.

    Stats, apart from figures made up to convince you to buy things, which you really don’t require, I think Urban Dictionary also explains it well:
    “The study of percentages, bars, graphs, and charts, all in an attempt to make some sort of logical conclusion out of a bunch of numbers so that even more percentages, bars, graphs, and charts can be made.”.
